There are four classes of fire extinguishers – A, B, C and D – and each class can put out a different type of fire.

A fire detection and alarm system
( FDAS ) provides audible and visual signals as a result of the operation of manual or automatic fire alarm initiating devices such as a Manual Fire Alarm station, smoke detector or heat detector of from other protective equipment such as a fire sprinkler system.

A Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is clothing or equipment designed to reduce employee exposure to chemical, biological, and physical hazards when on a worksite. It is used to protect employees when engineering and administrative controls are not feasible to reduce the risks to acceptable levels.

Automatic Fire Sprinkler System
Automatic Fire Sprinklers System (AFSS) are specially developed spray nozzles: they are sealed by a glass bulb, and they react automatically to the heat of a fire. Sprinklers go into action when the glass bulb bursts and the nozzle closure is released. Water immediately emerges from the nozzle ,and a spray plate effectively distributes it over the entire seat of the fire in the form of a fine shower of water droplets.
